Half-day “taster” tours provide a taste of the outskirts of Ballarat and the doorway to the Pyrenees region!  Pass through Learmonth, visit Wayward Winery and Michael Unwin Wines, indulge in a regional produce platter* and fine wine.  Wrap up the day with a sneaky gin or cold chemical-free beer in Ballarat.

A full day Pyrenees experience includes organic wine tastings at Mount Avoca, more tastings and a delicious lunch* at Bigibila wines – featuring their regional cheese and charcuterie platter paired with gourmet picnic goodies by A Pot of Courage social enterprise.  From there, we meander through the countryside to Forest Gate Estate – where the indoor space and alfresco courtyard overlook the vineyard and neighbouring forest. Enjoy a glass or two, along with freshly baked goodies* from A Pot of Courage.

Meet the Makers & Creators Tour – Not everyone is into a day of wine tasting and vineyards….we get that!  On this tour we throw a well-deserved spotlight on some of our region’s Makers and Creators.  This focus is more on food….regional food….and the totally innovative spaces and settings that have been created.  We start the day at The Greenhouse Café …. with greenery, gifts and homewares from floor to ceiling in this historic Ballarat warehouse.  From there to Saltbush Kitchen, Buninyong.  Brigid Corcoran’s truly unique space invites you to savour the flavours* of the Australian landscape.  .We wrap up the Makers & Creators Tour at Captains Creek organic winery (Blampied), at the foot of the Kangaroo Hills, where the Cellar Door started with a restoration of a 100-year-old workers’ hut.

Kick back with a platter showcasing regional produce*, in a relaxing countryside setting.  A fantastic range of regional produce is available to purchase.
