A former Fine Art Teacher and entrepreneur Tanya Stanojevic Kauker sees her abstract Encaustic paintings in terms of action and vibration. Bridging the gap between the landscape of the mind and fine art, she builds free-flowing shapes and colours inspired by landscape and the natural world. Tanya puts down many transparent layers of encaustic and color which take organic forms and structures. Each composition reveals a story, a hidden world deep beyond the surface, which is told in a language of texture, line, colour and form. When painting Tanya draws from an intuitive rather than conscious place. Her abstract landscapes are formed. by a combination of an aerial view and
traditional viewpoints her abstract forms give her the freedom to create on impulse driven by instinct. Currently Tanya has a studio in Durham Lead where she works with Encaustic as a painting medium and with sculpture.
