Koori Art Trail
Around the shores of the Beaufort Lake, you can enjoy a leisurely walk discovering the Koori Art Trail which features 12 installations which depict the traditional flora and fauna of the area and pays homage to the traditions, customs and stewardship of the local lands. The 2 kilometre trail starts at Beaufort Boat Ramp which you can access via the Goldfields Recreation Reserve.
Mount Cole State Forest and Beeripmo Walk
Imagine escaping the daily routine by sitting around a campfire under a clear sky, gazing up at the stars and listening to the sounds of the night. Mount Cole has a number of designated camping locations dotted throughout the park for you to set up camp.
Wander on remote bush tracks and discover hidden waterfalls, rugged landscapes and spectacular views. The Beeripmo Walk is a 20.6km hike through the Mount Cole State Forest and Buangor State Park. The walk winds through cool fern gullies and tall forests, taking in views across the surrounding mountain ranges. You can complete the hike in a day however there are camping locations half way round if you want to make it a 2 day trek. The hike should take approximately 1-2 days to complete.
The recently refurbished historical Railway Station at Beaufort, Victoria, is now the home of the Pyrenees Arts Council’s Art Trax Gallery. This historic building houses three Gallery rooms, a Gallery shop and an Artist’s workroom.
Pyrenees Pantry offer local produce and giftware in a cosy cafe atmosphere. Call in for a coffee, wine or lunch and browse their giftware and range of local goodies! On top of their extensive menu they also offer amazing hampers filled with local produce for you to enjoy on a picnic or to give as a gift.

Imperial Egg Gallery
At the Beaufort Motel, you will find an unexpected surprise with 100s of Imperial Eggs on display. The gallery displays a variety of decorated eggs depicting fantasy scenes. Don’t be fooled, these are not just painted eggs but jewelled decorated eggs inspired by Faberge.
Explore Beaufort Lake located within the township and enjoy fishing, water skiing, canoeing and swimming (note: Beaufort Lake is seasonally dry). There is a leisurely 3km or 1km walking/running track around the lake with fitness equipment dotted along the way – a perfect way to stretch your legs and walk off the delights of the town’s cafes!
Beaufort Church Gallery Christmas Shop
Enjoy the magic of Christmas all year round. The Beaufort Church has been transformed into a Christmas Mecca offering a large variety of Christmas decorations and ornaments. It is a must see when visiting Beaufort.
The cafe offers coffee, cakes, slices and a delicious lunch menu.
Magnolias Wine Bar
This well designed wine bar showcases seasonal produce and wines to create a mix of Mediterranean, Spanish, Asian and middle eastern influences. They are famous for their grazing plates, cheese boards and tapas along with an extensive wine list of local wines. While the menu is small, there are daily specials ensuring an option for all palate’s including gluten free, paleo and vegetarian.
Ferntree Falls is a stunning waterfall nestled among the huge ferns and moss covered rocks within the spectacular Mount Buangor State Park. You can access Ferntree Falls from the Ferntree Picnic Area. A short and easy 250 metre walk takes you to the falls where you can clamber over the rocks and among the gorgeous ferns right beneath the waterfall.By crossing a bridge over Middle Creek from beneath the falls, you can continue on the Waterfalls Nature Walk and access several other walks including the walk to nearby Cascade Falls.
