Mooramong Homestead
Mooramong was a 21st birthday present for Donald ‘Scobie’ Mackinnon who remodelled it in 1938 for his movie star wife Claire Adams.
Now Mooramong recaptures the life and times of the Mackinnons from the 1930s to the 1960s. The house features their photographs, curios and objects d’art.
The property is on a working farm of 4,000 acres running sheep and producing crops. The estate also incorporates the Mackinnon Nature Reserve which is home to the endangered Eastern Barred Bandicoot and other Australian species including the Wedge-Tailed Eagle and Brolga.
Mooramong is temporarily closed for redevelopment
