Enjoy a substantial range of wines on offer at Blue Pyrenees cellar door for tasting, including a range of limited release styles exclusively available to their Single Vineyard Wine Club members. A short stroll up the hill from the winery, the cellar door provides a superb vantage point from which to taste the wines and learn about the winemaking process or maybe you would prefer to enjoy a glass or two relaxing under the vines enjoying Chef Suthat’s grazing plates and small plates. But make sure you leave room for dessert because Chef Suthat not only creates the MOST delicious platters, he is also a culinary genius when it comes to dessert!
Bigibila is a place where you can celebrate life and enjoy the outdoors on their large deck while taking in the breathtaking views of the vineyard and Pyrenees Mountain Ranges. Open 11am – 5pm Saturday and Sundays Bigibila offers visitors a casual and more relaxed dining with their Grazing Platters featuring Goldfields Farmhouse Cheeses as well as delicious coffee and cake.
Forest Gate Winery
Forest Gate Winery is a boutique vineyard and cellar door focusing on producing exceptional wines that in turn compliment good food. Their cellar door has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with an alfresco courtyard overlooking the vineyard – the perfect place to relax with friends and enjoy a glass of wine with a cheese platter or cake.
Forest Gate now offers a ‘bring your own food for your picnic’. Forest Gate will provide the dining items (plates, cutlery, napkins etc) and of course the wine!
Grape Farm Winery
Grape Farm Winery is a small family tended vineyard located in its own breath taking natural amphitheatre in Moonambel. The winery has an intimate cafe with French and Spanish inspired food which pays homage to the Pyrenees region in Europe. The menu includes tapas and small plate offerings designed to share and made with seasonal, local produce. On pour are a range of their boutique wines, all of which are produced from their vineyard, which the café and deck overlooks.
A world away from the city and suburbs, this sandstone cellar door, overlooks the vines and Pyrenees ranges and offers friendly country service where you will meet the winemakers and discover a little about the winemaking processes. Tables and chairs are set up in the shade of large old gum trees, situated on lawns, edged by the vines. Bring a picnic basket or utilise their free BBQ facilities, rotunda and pétanque piste while the children can enjoy the onsite playground – so bring the clan!
Quoin Hill Vineyard
Only 20 minutes from Ballarat and overlooking the Pyrenees Ranges, Quoin Hill Vineyard is a “must visit” location. With a rustic cellar door, cafe and amazing views, Quoin Hill caters for a relaxing lunch and tasting afternoon. The Cafe features a deck overlooking the vineyard, offering superb alfresco lunches, home made preserves and relishes, and a rustic tasting centre. Choose from a range of specialty dishes, gourmet platters, superb wines, and premium beer. Dine inside, outside on the deck or in the garden that borders the vineyard.
