Festivals & Events
Turn a day into an event.
From a country race meeting
to Pyrenees Unearthed.
The locals of the Pyrenees region love putting on a festival or event. And there’s nothing like a picnic race meeting for getting into the country spirit.
Visit in March for the Avoca Autumn Race Day, or October for the springtime Avoca Cup. Pack a picnic lunch. And join the crowd to cheer on your pick of the jockeys and horses.
On the first weekend in May and November, Beaufort hosts the Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally.
For more than 50 years, the rally has celebrated classic vehicles and vintage engines that still work up a head of steam. Watch out also for our village blacksmith working the anvil, hammer and tongs.
Of all events, the Pyrenees Unearthed Festival is one not to be missed.
Experience all that our Pyrenees winemakers have to offer, together in one location for one fun-filled day at the Pyrenees Unearthed Festival. A laid-back afternoon of excellent local produce, live music, lots of kids’ activities and, of course, wine by the glass.
Check the calendar for dates, times and more events.
