Sunday By The River

February 20, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Enjoy a relaxed summer afternoon by the Avoca River in Avoca, under the shade of ancient gums, listening to smooth tunes and funky beats of live musicians. Sunday By The River Avoca starts with the McNaMarr Project the powerhouse vocal duo of John McNamara and Andrea Marr performing blues and soul. From Ararat come Orange Whip a formidable funk and soul cover band with a powerful brass line up.  Also live is Geoffrey Williams, a world-renowned performer. One man, a loop pedal and a whole lot of soul. Think Sly Stone colliding with The Beach Boys and a loop pedal on the dancefloor! Also performer are the Winter Berries, a three piece with a sweet, smooth seductive sound. Making a physical spectacle in this stunning parkland is Walk The Walls Parkour – a pop up where the fit can practice their spins, jumps, turn and tumbles with trained parkour instructors. (Parkour is the amazing street sport where participants use the built environment as an outdoor acrobatic circuit – Google it – it’s amazing!)

The Avoca will be down on the river flat serving their burger menu out of the BPE caravan. They will be accompanied by Luigi’s Gelato and Harvest Meal Crepes.
