The inaugural Retro Riff 2024 assemblage guitar art exhibition will showcase artist Les Toth’s collection of over 30 guitars with a distinct retro / 80’s feels this exhibition will ignite our memories of the 80’s through music and art and photos from his long musical influenced history, by his work as a DJ and security with international travelling rock bands Les has had a very colorful life which is reflected in this art.
The exhibition will be staged at the rear of the Cyril Callister Vegemite Museum in an old 50’s retro petrol station complete with riff music and mirror balls.

Live acoustic music – Free Assemblage art workshop – create your own art with wooden off cuts from guitars and assemblage decorations from artist Les Toth’s collection. Enjoy the exhibition complete with Riff music and mirror balls – Les will be attending some of the Friday events (health permitting)

You will find the Cyril Callister Museum at Servo@23, 23 Neill Street, Beaufort. Also open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10am – 2pm. Entry is free.
The museum tells the story of inventor Cyril Callister and his life’s journey, enjoy a growing collection of Vegemite memorabilia with some pieces from the 1940’s. A small collection of Vegemite merchandise is also on sale. Entrance is by donation, and we are open by appointment for groups over 20.
All revenue from the Museum goes to the Cyril Callister Foundation Inc, for future science scholarships to provide regional youth the opportunity to attend the Federation University, Ballarat.
