Avoca Riverside Market

Held on the fourth Sunday of each month the Avoca Riverside Market is held along the banks of the Avoca River and in Cambridge Street. The tranquillity of the venue adds to the enjoyment of wandering between the 40+ stalls providing wine, crafts, fresh food, plants, garden care, clothing and more. Local community groups raise money through a bacon and egg breakfast and sausage sizzle for lunch. New stall holders are always welcome – phone 0488 177 647.

Come along to the Avoca Riverside Market in March and be delighted and entertained with a free workshop in treehouse design and construction. This po-up Treehouse Making workshop introduces kids and families to the exciting possibilities of combining upcycling with imaginative play.  Visitors will be given a variety of natural and recycled materials to transform with your imagination. Anything is possible – solar-powered roller coasters, clockwork time machines, multi-headed giant chickens. Do you want a triple spiral staircase or a bottomless sandpit? If you can dream it, build away!

Furals Art are a Ballarat-based duo upcycle materials into creative art. Furals are passionate about life-long learning and open-ended creativity. This free workshop is brought to you by Pyrenees Shire Council and the Covid Safe Outdoor Activation Fund.
