Stockyard Hill
The Stockyard Hill and Lake Goldsmith Social Club invite the community to a casual afternoon in thanks of the freedoms given us by those who have served.
The Stockyard Hill Avenue of Honour and Commemorative Picnic area were proudly instated at last year’s ANZAC Commemoration Ceremony. The Avenue of Honour is looking fabulous with the ongoing care given to it by the Pyrenees Shire and the Kirkpatrick Family.
This year the event will not be official but will continue the new tradition of a Two Up competition (play money provided) and will add in an ANZAC Biscuit competition. Bake your favourite ANZAC biscuit recipe and bring your best three biscuits on a plate to be judged. Ages include under 6, 6-12, 13-16 and adult (17-110). All biscuits may then be eaten!
Western Ag and the Hawker Family will again support the event with the provision of a BBQ trailer and sausages. Make sure to BYO picnic supplies and nibbles.
This is a fabulous family fun event (and it is free!). If the weather allows the view of the sunset provides a beautiful backdrop to reflect on the importance of the ANZAC tradition and its meaning in our daily lives.
Start time 2:30pm
Location: Picnic Area on the corner of Stockyard Hill Rd and Lake Goldsmith Rd.
Please RSVP for catering to Deb Bain 0438402215
