We are inviting our local residents to become regional ambassadors and post a photo on Facebook or Instagram of their favourite place in the Pyrenees where they would like to spend time with family and friends using #seeyouinthepyrenees.
The campaign will run for 5 weeks over Easter and School holidays giving our locals the chance to show off their passion for the region they call home to their family and friends.
At the end of the 5 weeks, photo’s will be short listed by a panel of experts and the top 10 photo’s will be open to a public vote on the Visit Pyrenees Facebook Page.
The winner will receive a two night stay at Faraday on Avoca or Mount Cole Cottage for up to 6 people valued at $800 which will offer them the opportunity to invite a group of friends or family to visit.
Terms and Conditions
How to Enter: entry to Pyrenees VFR photo competition is open to all Pyrenees residents and is subject to these Terms and Conditions (T+Cs). To enter the Promotion, entrants must post an image via their own Instagram or Facebook platform and use the specified hashtag #seeyouinthepyrenees.
Acceptance of T+Cs: these T+Cs, together with all other information and instructions provided prior to entering the Promotion, form part of the rules of entering the Promotion and participation in the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these T+Cs.
Eligible Entrants: Entrants will be required to have an Instagram or Facebook account and post a photo with the specified hashtag order to enter in the Promotion. Persons and their immediate families in the following categories are not eligible to enter the Promotion: (a) Faraday on Avoca and Pyrenees Shire Council employees; (b) people associated with companies donating prizes in this Promotion. Persons entering the competition who are under 18 years of age require their parent’s or legal guardian’s permission.
Duration of Promotion: The Promotion will open 29 March 2021 at 9am and conclude on 3rd May 2021 at 5pm (Promotional Period).
Entry: To enter this Promotion, entrants must post an image of their favourite place in the Pyrenees where they would like to take their VFR with the Hashtag #seeyouinthepyrenees with a public account. The Pyrenees Shire Council is not responsible for any technical malfunctions of computer, online or wireless systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software or other problems resulting from participation or sending or receiving any communication or materials associated with this Promotion.
Number of Permitted Entries: unlimited entries per person is permitted for the Promotion.
Selection of Winners: All entrants who post a photo of the Pyrenees with the specified hashtag will be entered into a draw following which one (1) winner will be selected by public vote after 3rd April.
Prize Details: Winner will be entitled to receive a 2 night stay at Faraday on Avoca valued at $800.
Costs Associated with Use of Prize: the winner is responsible for organising and paying all costs and expenses associated with use of the prize including but not limited to flights, transport, extra nights stay, spending money.
Restrictions on Use of Prize: Booking your accommodation prize is subject to availability.
Delivery of Prizes to Winner(s): the Pyrenees Shire Council will arrange for the prize to be delivered to the winner to an address within Australia via post or email.
Prizes Not Transferable: the prize, or any part of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
Winner Notification: the winner will be promptly notified via their social media channel where further contact information and details will be requested including, but not limited to, full name, phone, email, and address following the end of the Promotion (including by being published and promoted on the Venue’s official website and other social media platforms). Entrants consent to the Venue using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome) and promoting any services supplied by Pyrenees Shire Council.
Submission of Material: When a Promotion involves submission of materials by entrants including comments, written materials, recordings and images (Material) then when entrants submit any Material via the Promotion the entrant, unless Venue advises otherwise, licenses and grants to Venue, its affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, communicate, publish and display such Material for any purpose in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability. Entrants agree not to assert any moral rights in relation to such use. Entrants warrant that they have the full authority to grant these rights (including any copyright). Entrants agree that they are fully responsible for the Material they submit. Venue shall not be liable in any way for such Material to the full extent permitted by law. Venue may remove any Material without notice for any reason whatsoever. Entrants warrant and agree that: (a) they will not submit any Material that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that the Venue may deem in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, not suitable for children aged under 15, or otherwise unsuitable for publication; (b) their Material shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity; (c) they will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others’ computer or communication systems; and (d) the Materials comprised in their entry to the Promotion are their own work and do not plagiarise or use the work of others unless specifically authorised to do so. Without limiting any other terms herein, the entrant agrees to indemnify the Venue for any breach of the above terms.
