Visit the Pyrenees and be captivated by the sights, sounds, tastes and adventures we have to offer.

Sharing its name with the famous French mountain range, the Pyrenees region of western Victoria is only a stone’s throw from Melbourne yet a world away from your hectic life. Our gorgeous rural region is just 20 minutes west of Ballarat, and just under two hours from Melbourne – an easy drive for a weekend break. If you like touring, visiting wineries, eating out, heritage, bushwalking, family outings and a relaxing pace, the Pyrenees is perfect for your next holiday.

Pyrenees Shire Council respectfully acknowledges the traditional owners of the Land, the Waddawurrang, Dja Dja Warrung, and Djab Wurrung tribes, whose land forms the Pyrenees Shire.
